Senior Associate
Lora’s journey into eldercare began during her high school years, where she found her passion for serving seniors. This commitment continued as she pursued her academic endeavors, earning a BA in music from Wheaton College and an MA in ethnomusicology from Tufts University. Over the span of 25 years, Lora carved an unexpected yet fulfilling career path in senior care, serving as an Executive Director of independent and assisted living communities across several states, including New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, and New Mexico.
Prior to her role at Stotler Hayes, Lora honed her legal skills as an Associate Attorney with the Special Needs Law Group of Massachusetts. In this capacity, she represented clients in guardianships, conservatorships, and estate administrations, demonstrating her proficiency in estate planning, special needs planning, and related advocacy efforts. Lora finds particular fulfillment in guiding clients through District and Probate Court proceedings, leveraging her extensive experience in elder law matters.
Lora’s academic achievements include earning her Juris Doctorate from the University of New Mexico School of Law, where she completed the program in two and a half years. Her outstanding academic performance was recognized with the CALI Award for highest grades in Elder Law, Mental Health & Intellectual Disability Law, and Bankruptcy Law.
Currently residing in New Mexico, Lora is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and New Mexico, showcasing her commitment to serving clients in diverse jurisdictions. In her leisure time, she enjoys hiking, reading, writing, and making music, finding solace in exploring new places and basking in the sunshine with her pups. Additionally, Lora has contributed her time and expertise to the Daggett Crandall Newcomb Home in Norton, Massachusetts, where she previously served on the board of directors, further highlighting her dedication to eldercare advocacy and community engagement.
