Following his graduation from Vanderbilt University Law School, Chris embarked on a distinguished legal career that spans nearly two decades, beginning in Atlanta in 2002. Throughout his journey, he has cultivated a broad spectrum of legal knowledge, with focus on civil litigation, construction law, contract law, real estate, bankruptcy, the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act, and commercial collections. With extensive experience in trial advocacy, appellate practice, arbitration, mediation, and settlement negotiation, Chris has consistently delivered exceptional results for his clients.
Prior to joining Stotler Hayes Group LLC, Chris served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Office of the Arkansas Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit. In this role, he played a pivotal role in investigating and prosecuting Medicaid fraud, as well as cases involving the abuse, neglect, and exploitation of individuals living in residential care facilities and Medicaid recipients. Notably, Chris contributed to securing approximately Forty Million Dollars in civil settlements, restitution, and fines in a single fiscal year, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to upholding justice and protecting vulnerable populations.
Chris’ current practice focuses on representing facilities in Medicaid eligibility, guardianship, probate, and collection matters, where he continues to leverage his extensive legal acumen and advocacy skills to achieve favorable outcomes for his clients.
Chris earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies, cum laude, from Vanderbilt University in 1999 and obtained his Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University Law School in 2002. Throughout his academic journey, he distinguished himself as a Mock Trial Tournament Semifinalist, 1L Appellate Advocacy Award winner, and Moot Court participant.
Licensed to practice law in Arkansas, Georgia, Mississippi, New Mexico, and Tennessee, Chris is admitted before various U.S. District Courts and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth, Sixth, and Eleventh Circuits.
Born and raised in Columbus, Mississippi, Chris spent two decades in Nashville, Tennessee, before relocating to Little Rock, Arkansas, where he currently resides with his wife and three children. Outside of his legal pursuits, Chris finds fulfillment in spending quality time with his family, coaching youth sports, and passionately supporting his favorite sports teams, including the Tennessee Titans, Atlanta Braves, Mississippi State Bulldogs, and Vanderbilt Commodores. Chris’s multifaceted interests and unwavering dedication to his profession and community make him a valued asset in both his personal and professional endeavors.
